Light Dragoons are the only Unit to wear this as it was an award to the WOs and NCOs of 15TH King€™s Light Dragoons, one of our predecessor Regiments. It originates from 1801 when the Duke of Cumberland (Colonel of 15 Kings Light Dragoons) obtained permission from the crown to wear a special to arm badge for non-commissioned officers.
